The Northlea Home and School Association welcomes all Northlea families to an exciting new Pizza Lunch Program. Pizza lunch is a new school fundraiser and one that promises lots of fun!! The program is fully managed by parent volunteers.
All profits from Pizza Lunch go to the Northlea Home and School Association.
Pizza Lunch Program
At this time, Pizza Lunch will be held on the last Thursday of the month (please note, it may be adjusted for breaks, holidays or other school events).
This pilot program will consist of three pizza lunches to be held over the remainder of this school year.
All grades will enjoy eating with their classmates! Primary grades will eat in the North Gym, Junior grades in the South Gym, and Kindergarten children will eat in their classrooms.
Please refer to the order form or website for the scheduled pizza lunch dates (they are also listed at the end of this document for your convenience).
Parents will have the option to sign up for either cheese or pepperoni pizza – not both.
We ask you to discuss these choices with your kids as our orders will be based on what people sign up for and cannot be adjusted on site. It is the same price for cheese or pepperoni. All pizza lunches include a healthy veggie or fruit, water and a nut-free treat.
Please keep a record of your order. Kids often forget how many slices or what type of pizza they have ordered. We kindly ask you to remind them of their order, or make a note of it in your child’s agenda, so they can refer to it throughout the year. We will send reminders of the pizza lunch dates via the weekly email.
KIDS helping KIDS
To promote “kids helping kids” we welcome student volunteers from Grade 6-8. A sign up sheet for student volunteers will be posted outside the office during the week of April 18-21. Student volunteers will be selected based on the order of the sign-up sheet.
We will make every effort to ensure that all students who sign up have an opportunity to volunteer at least once during the school year although depending on how many kids sign up to help, this may not be possible this school year due to our reduced number of lunches this school year.
We are unable to accommodate:
- Individual lunch make-ups
Parent volunteers are VERY much needed to make this program run smoothly. At least one volunteer per class is required. Please find the link to the online sign up via Sign-Up Genius: www.signupgenius.com/go/5080C45AEAB2AA1FB6-northlea.
We kindly ask parents to take a minute to consider date(s) that work best to lend a hand. Kids are always so excited to see mom, dad, grandparents and caregivers serving pizza and it will only take 1 hour of your time!
