Model Schools for Inner Cities is hosting a Parent Academy Conference on Saturday May 4th from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. At this time, we would like to open registration for all of our TDSB schools. Space is still available so please share details with your school community. Please see below and attached for details regarding the conference and link for online registration.

Director of Education, Donna Quan will be our keynote speaker.

Goals

a)      To value the contributions, experiences and knowledge(s) of our parent communities in co-constructing meaning of various issues related to gender and gender identity and their relationship to other social identities.

b)      To support the growing network of parents in the Model Schools for Inner Cities Program to learn from and with one another and serve both advisory and advocacy roles for the well-being of their children and our students.

c)      To value the voice of parents and community members as key members of our learning community in our common quest for student success for all of our students.

French films and French Food – FSLAC

The Alliance Francaise in North York is pleased to announce a new monthly event: Cine Gourmet.

Cine Gourmet is both a crepe-tasting event and private showing of famous French movies (subtitled in English).

We hope participants will experience an authentically-French atmosphere and have fun in the process.

Kids and adults will enjoy this experience together as the films selected will be family fare.

Everyone is welcome, admission is free. The first event will be on March, 25 at 5:30 pm (movie starts at 06:00pm ).
