Home & School Volunteers

Northlea Elementary & Middle School is a truly unique place. Students, Staff and Parents work together to provide the very best environment for our children to thrive. It is an environment to cherish, an opportunity to work to contribute.

Parents are encouraged to be involved at Northlea. Teachers and class parents for each class will provide opportunities to volunteer with classroom activities. Parent volunteers are also greatly appreciated for school-wide events, and for other Home & School and School Council activities. This can be through a few 30 minute shifts at various events, or following through by taking on a Leadership role in the Home & School / Council framework.

Enthusiastic volunteers are always needed to share new ideas and help organize events or share thoughts on how to continue to make Northlea a terrific place for our kids. We have over 600 families at Northlea; be a family that gets involved – come to a meeting and learn more about the Home & School / Council and how you can help!

In the beginning of the year, important roles to be filled are those of Class Parent, Safe Arrival volunteer, and helping out with the Welcome Back Barbeque. New in the fall of 2011 is a pilot with a Parent Safety Program (PSP).  Volunteer interest can be expressed via the Home and School e-mail.

Please take a few minutes to review our Northlea Volunteer Catalogue, created at the beginning of the 2011/12 school year.
