LEASIDE CANNED FOOD DRIVE

47 YEARS OF HELPING THOSE IN NEED WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY

Last year, in one morning we collected about 14,000 items and over $3,000 in monetary donations. Only you can make this LITTLE MIRACLE happen again.

  • This is an OPPORTUNITY for churchgoers to pick up tinned foods from all members of the community. There are people who will gladly give, if we merely ask and pick up their donations.
  • Cheques made out to participating Churches directed to receiving organizations gladly accepted.
  • There are NO OVERHEAD COSTS Flyers, boxes, refreshments are all donated.
These are the participating Churches: Leaside Presbyterian, Leaside United, Northlea United, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Rosedale Presbyterian, Rosedale United, St. Anselm’s, St. Augustine’s, St. Cuthbert’s.
  • These organizations receive the food: Evangel Hall Mission, Toronto Christian Resource Centre, Flemingdon Park Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul Society.
  • We need about 300 volunteers on each of 2 Saturday mornings: AGES 8 TO 80! Bring your whole family and some friends. IF THE WEATHER IS BAD, BRING EVEN MORE FRIENDS.
