Welcome to a new school year Northlea! // Bienvenue à l’école publique Northlea!
We are so happy to welcome our Northlea families back for another school year and extend a special welcome to all of our new families joining the community. We hope your summer was filled with wonderful moments, time with loved ones, and plenty of opportunities to rest and recharge.
As we begin the new school year, there is a wonderful sense of excitement. We are looking forward to welcoming your child(ren) back to Northlea and to partnering with you as we support their learning, development, and success throughout the year. The 2026–2027 school year will be a year of learning, discovery, new experiences, friendships, accomplishments, and many special moments that we will share as a school community.
Our dedicated Northlea staff have been working hard to prepare for the year ahead. We know that while students may be excited to return, some may also need a little time to adjust to the changes a new school year brings. We will be here to welcome, support, and encourage every student as they begin their new year.
During the school year we will be communicating using electronic methods, such as School Messenger and email. Please ensure that we have your most current and preferred contact information and email address. Communication is very important to us.
We are delighted to welcome the new Vice Principal, Ms. Nana Dankwa, to Northlea! We are thrilled to have Nana join our school community and look forward to the experience, energy, and care she will bring to our students, staff, and families. Please join us in giving Nana a warm Northlea welcome.
We are also excited to welcome Ms. Sophie Higgins to the Northlea family as a new member of our staff. We are pleased to welcome back Ms. Jennifer Sepetdjian, Ms. Lindsay Van Horne (Resnick), and Ms. Michelle Brooks to Northlea.
We also wish Ms. Holly Beth Lievonen all the very best as she moves on to another TDSB school. She will be missed, and we thank her for all she has contributed to the Northlea community.
