Past meetings this school year:
Wednesday October 9, 2024 6pm – this meeting was an introduction of people in the room, a recap of the notes from the last meeting in June, elections of chair positions in 2024/2025, fundraising strategies, and finances.
Wednesday November 20, 2024 6:30pm – this meeting was centered around Funding Proposals. Each person with a proposal had presented their proposal, we voted which proposals should get H&S funding, and how much to allocate to each proposal receiving funding.
WANT TO HELP OUT?
Home & School needs your involvement! As the current committee is ageing out of Northlea, it’s so important that we grow our team so that we can continue to bring valuable programming, equipment and experiences to our children. Things like: Forest of reading, scientist in the school, schoolyard renovation, KM Club, ADHD resources, chromebooks, sports equipment, teacher appreciation events (ETC ETC!) – none of this would happen without parent involvement in Home & School Council. Every year, H&S raises tens of thousands of dollars through Spring Fling, Pizza lunch, Danceathon, Social Series and more. For the coming 24/25 school year we are still seeking a few key positions including someone to lead our staff appreciation lunches.
